Indeed, SFN just left for TLV and will be flying twice to BSL tomorrow.

Unless there were almost 150 VIP's and press on board I guess their report is a bit wrong, they state that only 92 people were on board?

Re: AvGeek flight to BSL in SN A332: Unique opportunity
The plane was filled to capacity: 255 fans. I don't know for the BSL-BRU flight, but in the positioning flight to BSL the press filled the business class and got a nice meal.Bralo20 wrote:Unless there were almost 150 VIP's and press on board I guess their report is a bit wrong, they state that only 92 people were on board?

A short report on the trip
Flight: SN1763
Date : 25/07/2013
Aircraft: A330-300 OO-SFN
From-To: Brussels-Basel (BRU-BSL)
Seat: 41A
Scheduled/Effective Time of Departure: 10:50/11:05 (GMT + 2)
Scheduled/Effective Time of Arrival: 12:10/12:05 (GMT +2)
Scheduled/Effective Duration of the flight: 1 hr 20 mins/1 hrs 0 mins
All of us had printed their boarding passes that had the mention 'operated by Flybe'. Didn't know they had A330 pilots
SN1763 was a nice flight. We were greeted before departure by Geert Sciot (VP Communication Brussels Airlines, who would accompany us on the trip) and Jan Van der Cruysse (Spokesman Brussels Airport).
From Gate A34 we were bussed to the aircraft parked near the old satellite (seeing the Finnair Marimekko A343 on the way). Before boarding the plane we were allowed to take pictures and to look at the beautiful scantily-dressed Tomorrowland hostesses. The stewards and stewardesses had special uniforms.
In his welcome speech the captain made a special mention of our group, seated in the back of the plane (the business class was filled with journalists who received a nice meal).
Although we were in b.light, we received a free drink.
The flight was rather short. Although we departed 15 minutes late, we were on-time at Basel. The journalists remained on board and we were the only ones to disembark.
Flight: EZS1031
Date : 25/07/2013
Aircraft: A319 HB-JZO
From-To: Basel-Brussels (BSL-BRU)
Seat: 25F
Scheduled/Effective Time of Departure: 15:10/15:15 (GMT + 2)
Scheduled/Effective Time of Arrival: 16:20/16:20 (GMT +2)
Scheduled/Effective Duration of the flight: 1 hr 10 mins/1 hr 5 mins
After three hours in Basel (lunch and spotting), half of our group returned to Brussels with easyJet. Among the passengers of that full A319 there were also many Festival-goers.
I was surprised when a steward told me to shut my camera during taxiing and take-off: this is a time when I usually make many pics, and it's the first time I'm instructed to shut the camera.
The departure was 5 minutes late, but arrival was on-time.

We all know that all electronic devices have to be shut off during taxi , take off and landing.I was surprised when a steward told me to shut my camera during taxiing and take-off: this is a time when I usually make many pics
We all know that the crew have to be buckled in during take off and landing .
So, you know what I mean.

Is that how you deal with safety instructions of your crew? Hi André,
Nice report!
I still have to thank you for the organization off this trip, it was my first trip with AVGeek but probably not the last...
Here some impressions off my trip to Basel with SN Brussels Airlines.
I hope to do it again next year, other airport?
