Thanks André! For sure I did not get bored. And, for once, I was not too stressed about schedule. We had 2,5 weeks of holiday, booked with a travel agency (a first for me) that took care of everything, and I must say that after all, what counted most at that moment, was not especially the destination, but to be with my wife

And for the rest, adventure is part of life. Never experienced loss of baggage? Happened to me several times, and also items stolen from baggage. You'll have your turn
Yup, I know my turn will come with the luggage... but not too early please

How about your trip to Pico (PIX) ? How was that flight and island ? Did you climb the vulcano ?
Thanks Andorra Airport. I'm now curious to read about "your" 9/11. For the intra-islands flights, I'll write part 2 in the coming weeks (PDL-PIX and PIX-TER). I can already say that there were less surprises, but the flights were nice. And due to the bad weather (worse "Spring" they had since 1931!), it was not possible to climb the Vulcano Pico. Unfortunately, the week on Pico island was very bad, weather wise, with lots of fog (you could not see further than 2m (really!)) and rain. But that is the charm of the Azores, and what makes them so unique

Did you paid the taxi yourself to the airport?
As you got a C class ticket to Ponta Airport and not Ponte Harbour ?
What an start of a holiday!

Thanks Lex! I paid the taxi myself to the airport (around 10Eur, I would say it was cheap, considering it was past 22:00, and compared with a cab ride from/to BRU). And no, it wasn't paid by SATA (we were not treated differently with a C-Class ticket). We were told at Terceira, before boarding the ship, that there would be representatives of SATA to arrange for a transfer to the airport. We had no choice but to believe them, and there was no point in starting an argument. And as I wrote, nobody from SATA was there when we arrived at the seaport of Ponta Delgada.
