Nice pictures..
Just a question : why do they choose to do these touch and go's in Ostend? And why not e.g. in Manston, which is a bit closer to their homebase?
Is this decision related to the costs of the landing fees?

On one side, it's related to the landing fees for sure. But I think today was also a day where TOM decided to show off the 787. While IA was doing training flights at OST (where the headquarters of Jetair are), IB did a roundtrip Hannover, where TUI itself is based.

Normally they do T&G in the UK indeed, but the weather was bad. Plus they like an airport where there is not that much other heavy traffic so they are able to do as much touch and go's as possible.

It was sort of a promo stunt of Thomson since the other 787 went to the homebase of TUI in germany.
