Nice Delta (French) Advert

Post by Comet »

I found this link for a Delta advert on another forum. It's a nice one to watch, I think it might be from French TV or something because the captions are in French.

I think it's a good film.

Very nice indeed, thanks for posting!

I guess it's an old commercial? Aircrafts are still in the old colourscheme (2 new ones since those colours).

You can also tell that it's an old commercial, because in the end they show you a pic, where you see a B727 and a Tristar of DL.

I guess they made it when Skyteam was born :?

I heard the soundtrack of this for the first time last night (I first saw the video when I was in college, but then I couldn't play sound). The thread where I found the link on another forum said that it was a superb advert with the music which backed it, and I have to say that I agree.

I wish now that I knew the exact age of the film, I thought the livery looked a little dated. Someone said the music was by Enya.

Is it from Enya? Isn't she involved with the music for the LOTR films too?

The music is from Adiemus. The composer, Karl Jenkins, became famous by this one track, especially composed for Delta Air Lines.
But their other songs are very impressive as well.

The Delta Airlines commercial aired in the US (1997) is by Miriam Stockley. The song is "Adiemus" from the album Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary (Virgin/Carol-7524-2). You can hear RealAudio excerpts of her work at: http://www.miriam.co.uk

How time flies, I'm getting old

Delta always had very nice commercials, but I did not see any lately. A couple of years ago we saw much more airline related commercials on TV.
