Nothing to do in Tbilisi and Georgia? I go there for business many times a year, great place, lovely people and food, great wines, country with booming economy, earning good money with energy transit thanks to Azerbaijan close, monumental nature, birthplace of christianism as we know it ... I can continue for hours, it is my favorite place in the ex Soviet Union. Very good value for money, easy to enter and very European. Want something different, go now, already for the kindest people I know. Go Georgia !!!!!

Is SN having second thoughts about Athens? An A319 is currently enroute to ATH as SN3245, not a charter number (flightradar24).

It's April. Somewhere on this forum it was mentioned before they operate some flights to ATH this month. Like they operated KRK during the winter holiday I believe.

Don't know if this is already mentioned, but starting from 21 june Pegasus will connect Brussels with the Turkish city Kütahya (Zafer Aiport; LTBZ). As far as I can see on the Pegasus-website, flights will be operated 2 times weekly (Monday and Thursday).

A new East-European airline plans to start operating around the first of July to Amsterderdam, Berlin and Brussels. Air Lituanica will serve these destinations out of Vilnius with two leased E-jets (E170 and E175) and is supposed to focus on business traffic. The airline is funded by both government and private investments.

Moscow, Prague and Munich are next on the wish list.

Back in 2012 they presented themself as a carrier that would adopt a hybrid product (looking at some documents of them) with A319's and a bigger network as they present now. Apparently the changed the business model.

But I don't see them succeeding anyway...I can't think of many successfull East-European airlines, and there are reasons for it...

Air Lituanica says they will cooperate with Brussels Airlines, KLM, Air Berlin and CSA for onward connections (no full codeshares I assume, but interlining).
BRU will be served as their first destination, starting the last day of June operating the route 6 weekly (in addition to the 6 weekly flights operated by SN). They say the first route will be operated in the evening, with no flights on Saterday.

AMS will start as from July 8th, operated as a morning flight.

Cargo flight are doing very well but they need more capacity during week too as customers would like to have more capacity already. As no additional freighter possible yet, they will bring the A340 to BRU as a temporay solution.

By the way (re: Finnair A340 to BRU), on days when this would be with their OH-LQD, then this would offer some nice "Marimekko" spotting moments in Steenokkerzeel !
