hi Brightlight,
you can also try
www.eurocontrol.be, the european organisation for ATC in maastricht.
I also applied about 2 years ago as a candidate air traffic controller, both at belgocontrol and eurocontrol.
I received quite quickly an answer from belgocontrol. they said they'll put my candidature in a reserve until they'll organize a new selection exam (the last one was in 2000 or 2001 I think, but I was just to late). I am not sure how often they organize such selection rounds though.
from eurocontrol I received a definite answer, unfortunately a negative one. my eyesight wasn't good enough.
but you can find all requirements about the job and training on the eurocontrol website. you can even order a free cd-rom with an introduction and an (easy) atc game. go to
http://www.eurocontrol.int/dgs/activiti ... index.html and click on 'become an air traffic controller'.
Hope this helps. good luck anyway, and remember: it's always worth a try or you could regret it for the rest of your life that you haven't.
cheers,
fred
