According to Bloomberg Delta Airlines is about to purchase 20 wide body aircrafts and it seems talks have been held with both Airbus and Boeing.
Delta currently has 158 long haul planes in its fleet. How many A330s does Delta operate ? What are the odds for Airbus to get the deal ?
It also seem that Delta is willing to purchase up to 30 single aisle aircrafts, either A320 or 737 (current version), what is the fleet split between A320 and 737 ? What would be more rational for the fleet uniformisation (knowing that Delta has one of the more heterogeneous fleet) ?

When looking at the current (planned) mainline narrowbody-fleet (757 not included):Unilitha2 wrote: It also seem that Delta is willing to purchase up to 30 single aisle aircrafts, either A320 or 737 (current version), what is the fleet split between A320 and 737 ? - A319: 56
- A320: 68 (the oldest ones are being replaced by 739ER's)
- 737-700: 10
- 737-800: 73
- 737-900ER: 100 on order (replacing the oldest A320's, some 757-200's and some 767-300's (non-ER))
- 717: 88 on order (from AirTran, to replace 50-seat regional jets and DC-9's)
- DC-9-50: 17 (all to be replaced this year by 717's)
- MD-88: 117
