Hi Folks!

According the website of All Nippon Airways there are no ANA flights to BRU planned yet.
And this untill the end of 2013. Only codeshare flights -* alliance companys.

Greetz!

As long as EK stays away all other airlines stay.. enough of an advantage for me. On another side of the story if they would come it would probably scare other potential new airlines away from BRU (mainly from the Asian side of the world)

Welcoming a new long haul carrier on your airport is nice but when we speak about EK then we could say in this case that I hope they will stay away for a while. We have more nice Gulf carriers like Etihad and Qatar who offers a very nice and good product. I'm affraid that they will stay away when EK will come to BRU. I hope that Etihad will expand like they requested but it's still the question.

First one will be Etihad and will offer bigger capacity on their flights to AMS. BRU will lose in that case instead of win and "extra".

As long as there's nothing official and sales are not ready to start, you will not find anything about it on their website either. Probably they didn't even make the decision yet, this route is way too depending on the 787-delivery shedule and the European/Belgian economy. For the moment, not really the two most certain/secure factors...

Anyway, late 2011 and again in 2012 ANA already confirmed they were looking at BRU, DUS, ZRH and some new US destinations, all to be operated by the 787. Some time later, Seattle and San Jose were announced, but so far nothing for Europe. The main reason for that is the current uncertain economical situation in Europe, making ANA look at the US first.
Will it be this year or 2014 or even later? I don't know, but I wouldn't be suprised to them operating at BRU by summer 2014.

About EK...I'm quite sure they'll come, but I'm not really happy with that. The only thing that's currently keeping them away from BRU are the capacity increases (A380's) operating into LHR, CDG and AMS.
