I always check the Belgian results. I like to see Brugge and Genk win, and think it's great when Liege lose!

I should support Barnsley because I lived there before we moved to Scarborough, and I should support Scarborough because I live there now - but I don't.

I also support Belgium in internationals because I could never support England while that effeminate jessie known as David Beckham is playing for them. At least Wesley Sonck looks normal.

Why are Mechelen in the third division when they were in the first before? Why didn't they go into a second division?

Because we had financial issues we had to start in a lower division but as we ended last last year we had to start 2 divisions lower and with -9 points!

We are no friends anymore. You can always rejoice when your favourite team wins, but it is low class to be happy when your least favourite team looses.

Furthermore, which Liège do you mean? Standard (Div. 1) or FC Liège (Div. 3)

Andre - this is nothing to fall out over! I mean Standard Liege because that is the only Liege team whose results are shown on UK Teletext (it just shows the Belgian first division results). I always associate Liege with that dreadful railway station (Guillemins) and the hassle we had finding our way out of there, sorry but it wasn't a very good introduction to Liege (which is a very nice place by the way) and the station staff were snooty. Had a great meal there by the way!

As for being happy when a least favourite team loses, that is the way things are over here! Leeds United supporters always love it when anyone beats Manchester United (most team supporters do by the way!) Scotland love it when a team, any team, beats England. And Liege can't be all that bad really if Marc Wilmots played for them (now he is better than Beckham  )

If Liege were ever to play the England team, I know who I would want to win, and it wouldn't be England!

But you must agree that "Standard" is a strange name for a team!

(And to get back to the topic, I used to support Arsenal and Ruud Gullit's dreadlocks were something else!)

And Andre - I really didn't mean to offend you

I follow the results of Barnsley and Scarborough. My favourite UK team has to be Liverpool.

And if I have a favorite Belgian team, it is Standard Liege (for Heaven's sake Andre, please do not fall out with Comet, or my life will not be worth living!!!)

I live between Liege and Verviers but I'm not really interested in football

Liege is indeed a nice city if you get to know it.

The Guillemins station is indeed a real shame. Since the building of the new one began things have got worse and worse...

But in a few years, Liege will have one of the world's greatest stations
