Thomas Cook will fly long haul with Belgium Exel
Moderator: Latest news team
True,it took VG a long time before starting but I think a charter/Ad-hoc airline will need less time. VG did some charter flights before starting to the US.
How long did it take Birdy to require all the needed documents?? Not so long. In Belgium it's just who you are and then you get what you want.

The livery is the standard Exel livery, like this one from Bonair Exel:

Air Exel is also going to start in Italy under the name Granda Exel. GrandaExel will have scheduled services from Cuneo (Italy).
Looks like the Vlieger is taking control of something big, he has the experience and qualifications for it.

They don;t have a Belgium AOC yet, so theu have to use a flightnumer of antoher carrier. I can imagine that Thomas Cook Airlines wil give them a flightnumber (TC hires Holland Exel to operate a ICA flight). However teh CA's should be trained by Holland Exel (flight safety).
Did someone already wonder how Jetair will solve their ICA flight now TC will fly with Belgium Exel. Apparently, only TC contracted Belgium Exel.

With the ones grounded in Bru I suppose you mean the Sobelair ones? Those 767's where a one of the big problems for Sobelair, It where those ac's that costed too much. DSF owned them and DSF didn't want to lower the leasing price. I suppose the SAS (older) ones where a whole lot cheaper!L-1011 wrote:
Why lease a 767 from SAS , are they cheaper than those grounded in BRU
On VIP Selection's website I read something about the following planes and airlines they use now...
Transavia 737, Thomas Cook A320, Spanish LTE and German LTU A330
So I think it will be an A330 of LTU
Anyway, I mailed Tui about it.
Keep you posted. 8)

When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

I don't think that Jetair/VIP selection/Sunjets all part of the World of TUI group will use a B 757-200 of their concurrent Thomas Cook!!!! But as mentioned above problably an Air Jamaica A340sn26567 wrote:Probably a Condor 757MD-11 wrote:If I book my vacation with VIP ( Tui ) in Jamaica which airline will fly us there then?
