Thanks, it looks like my flight from Kinshasa next week will be with an A332, so no luck for me...

Anyone more information when the next plane will leave for Malta for the retrofit? Will it be in September?
Which aircraft? SFN or SFO?

Will the planes be remplaced by another one while they are refurbished? It seems that every plane is employed right now in the present timetable?

There is no need to replace the aircrafts as we will see less flights to Africa during the winter.

Those who like to admire and compare C class longhaul products have another trip report of an SN flight from JFK to read:

Nice pictures, I must say.

Looks like SFO will be the next one to get the retrofit. This A/C left for Malta on the 1st of October

Wonder how long it will be away...

I'll be in Malta in December and I'll check if it's still over there ;)

Austrian will soon officially announce their new long haul interior...what a suprise...not :P :

Seems like even the IFE is the same as SN's, or at least very simular.

SFO is back from Malta; it just landed in BRU a few minutes ago as SN9902.

That's quick... only 16 days?
I thought the refurbishment would take one month per aircraft...
Which one goes next?
Once all Airbuses are done, the fleet will be very attractive... I'm sure Brussels Airlines will have a lot of satisfied customers...
They should speed up the refurbishment, as the difference between the old and the new cabins is huge... and one is never sure to have the old or the new cabin on the AFI flights... the ticket price remains the same however...
Keep going, Brussels Airlines!

Maybe that's only for the aircraft that need certain maintenance as well?

Refurbishment should be finished early 2013, I believe? I tought the 5 A333's would have the interior by the end of this year and the A332's by February or so? Tough not sure about this.

On wikipedia it's said that OO-SFZ got a new configuration when it got the new interior (is it already back, or still in Malta?).
The previous configuration is said to be 24/238 (262 in total) and now it is said to be 22/250 (272). That's just 4 economy seats less than in the A333's, but 8 business class seats less.

Is 30 business class seats really so much for certain (AFI) destinations operated by SN or do they just need the high capacity in economy more than they need the business class seats?!

30 business seats is too much for example DKR.
I think the new configuration is 22/246.
OO-SFZ is still in MLA.
