The airport handling company Flightcare, headquartered at Brussels Airport, was bought by its competitor Swissport Switzerland, it was announced Thursday night to Flightcare staff at a works council extraordinary, according to the union CSC-Transcom . The union expects that the recovery does not change in the short term, in terms of pay and working staff. Flightcare employs approximately 1,600 people, according to the steward Kurt Callaerts. The company is active handling of 14 airports, according to the website of the company. The Spanish group FCC had already announced in December 2011 to sell its Belgian subsidiary Flightcare. This recovery is not without consequences for the Brussels airport. The airport manager had indeed awarded end of 2011 licenses for handling the period 2011-2018 to Flightcare and Swissport, which had resulted in actions referred to by operators and Menzies Aviation Aviapartner and gel the granting of new licenses. As from today, Swissport officially takes over from Flightcare at Brussels Airport. Check out their new uniforms:

Looks very Brussels Airlines, especially the ones in uniform, but then it matches their biggest customer, so that's good, I suppose?

Most of their apron equipment like stairs, cars, buses etc has also been rebranded, so I have noticed yesterday.

Let's hope they will start to deliver Swiss quality service too now!

Yeay indeed, but these people in uniform are active on things like check-in, gate-agents, assisting of UM's, ... and if I'm correct all these things are handled by SN itself? :P
But ok, maybe people will think these are SN people when they see them from a distance, making it seem that there are much more SN people working at the airport :lol:

Not anymore...

Long haul flights are already covered by load control officers of SN and as from 15/10 if I'm not mistaken all EU flights are covered by load control agents of SN.

Check out their new uniforms:
So I did, and I must admit I am close to being genuinely shocked. This picture is contrary to every idea of political correctness:

-) the people in "cabin" uniform are depicted higher than those in "apron" clothing, suggesting a degree of superiority of the one category over the other;
-) even if there are equal numbers of each physical sex, no room is left for those of non-standard sexual orientations. A really correct picture would have shown at least one person visibly lesbian or gay, to illustrate such people are not negatively discriminated against
-) yet more infuriating is the total absence of any person physically handicapped, it is made obvious these are equally unwanted
-) worst of all, both females are obviously Aryan types, where the males are, at best, of mixed origins, if not clearly of Mediteranean origin. I daren't even suggest all possible interpretations.
