EasyJet, the UK's largest airline, has today announced that it plans to start services to Luxembourg from London Gatwick from 29 October 2012. This is the first time a low cost carrier has launched services on this important business route.
Pity that they didn't start this route from BRU. Probably too much competition.

Re: Easyjet to launch flights between London and Luxembourg
That's a big news for Luxembourg ! It's the first real low cost to reach Findel Airport. (Well except Iceland Express that was short lived)
However 4 times a week is a weak schedule. There is a consequent traffic between London and Luxembourg as UK managers moves regularly to Luxembourg (to held board meetings).
They travel in one day so easyjet would need at least one early departure from London and one late departure from Luxembourg

No market rather, I'd guess?VEX802 wrote: Pity that they didn't start this route from BRU. Probably too much competition.
With the eurostar running 10 times daily from city centre to city cente and prices starting at just £69 for a return trip, I suppose any existing LON-BRU route is purely connecting traffic oriented?
