Hi,

Since we all have glass bowls on the table : my prediction:

sn will indeed downsize again,..
fr will keep a daily rotation for as long as they will be served by government money..
wizzair will keep a daily or twice rotation until the hungarian government helps MA budapest airlines in their saddle to keep hungarians flag in the air,..

bud isn't the hub, desti airliners are dreaming of today so guess it will be something like this.. and why not?

Maybe I' ll take a wizzair flight in the coming months for checking it out ;) from EIN :)

greetz,

FR has the advantage with their promo fares at 9,99€ in march, let's hope for a similar offer on a regular basis :D

From 16.07.2012, Ryanair will fly from CRL to Warsaw Modlin (WMI). Another route in direct competition with Wizz Air !

The competition between Ryanair and Wizz Air (at Warsaw as well at Budapest and elsewhere) will be interesting, bloody, perhaps deadly - it'll all be about schedules, ponctuality, and above all : fares.
That the best (for the customer) wins !

Ryanair announced today that they will base 5 aircraft in Budapest instead of 4.
The 5th aircraft will be used for 1 new route to Tampere, but mainly to increase the frequencies of the already announced routes.

Budapest - Charleroi will now be 13 weekly instead of the announced 7 weekly. Not in the booking engine yet.

Wow! Ryanair 13 weekly, Wizz Air 14 weekly! There will be overcapacity on that route. A capacity well over that of BRU-BUD. Who will be the first to retreat?

This is indeed too much.
I purchased a ticket last Thursday for this Thursday so D-7, for 3.49€ (return on Monday, same price) all included (exc. the f..ing 6€ credit card charge x2).
Seems the flight is totally empty, I was pax nb 18 when I printed my boarding card...

As regards the price, I had a look for the week 16-20 april - prices at the moment I write this :
Ryanair : all flights at 4,39 euros plus credit card fee (when applicable)
Wizzair : flights at 9,99 - 14,99 or 19,99 euros plus 16 euros booking fee plus credit card fee (when applicable)
FR and W6 flights are on exactly the same hours, give or take 5 minutes !
In my opinion, it won't last for long - one or the other will leave the route ...

@ stefanel: the number you have on your boarding card doesn't mean you are the 18th pax on this flight, It means you are the 18th checked in. But not all the pax check in, they forget or just don't know.

I tried to book a return flight for the very same fare using my Mastercard Prepaid yesterday but the payment could not be processed. I have enough balance on it and have never had any problem using this card, has anyone experienced a similar problem ?

I know this but one week before the flight generally much more than 18pax are web-checked-in.

In the end, the flight was almost full so I was wrong indeed. I am impressed that FR can mobilize so many pax in such a few time...

If you are on Moneybooker : there is a problem with Moneybooker-Ryanair at the moment, it does not work anymore.
See :

You can easily get on the net a virtual card that is linked to the Mastercard prepaid system : Moneybooker (but it does not work with RYR at the moment), Wirecard, Neteller, etc.

Watch out for paying Ryanair with that MC, because you need to pay €6 admin fee if the flight is originating from the U.K, Ireland, Italy, Germany or Spain. They stopped with the free admin fee in Ireland, when paying with MC, good chance that in the near future you can only pay with Ryanair Cash Passport , to avoid the admin fee.
