Hi,
04/03/12 - conditions were great, but lack of movements. There was an opportunity to capture a TNT 747, but he was hiding behind a rain cloud.

@vader - Nice Alitalia 772, and the moon photo
@DC10MD11 - Transaero 747 passed here, but unfortunately was also really hazy.... hope the weather clears up soon!
Thanks

Hi to you,
It all depends on the weather the day you are taking photos.----I have had only about 2 days this year where the sky has been perfected and the rest have been HAZY/heat hazy I also take about 20/25 photos of the same AIRCRAFT and go for the best photo.
I use a shutter speed of 1/350-1/500 and 200/400 iso.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE WEATHER ON THE DAY
All the best

Hello, a few results from March, there were many interesting visitors up there, but conditions were generally poor with high clouds and distortions.
I hope these pics are not too embarrassing

Re: Contrail spotting March 2012
Hi kopinet, I think the 5th one down might be Air VIA Bulgarian Airways
Re: Contrail spotting March 2012
@contrailwatcherUK:
Could be VIA, I agree. They state on their homepage that thay expect deliveries in early 2012 and 2013 to replace their oldest aircraft. And they have IAE engines. These Airbus test flights from Finkenwerder are like surprise eggs -could be anything. Btw: Airbus have made a nice spotting hill near the runway, so you can take photos over the fence, and it´s easier to figure out the liveries when the aircraft are still on the ground !
regards
Kopinet
