Good evening to you all.
I've just discovered your website. Pretty happy to have found such an active forum...
I'm from Vert Buisson. It's a hamlet a few km from Spa.
I'm 40 and making plans about starting a PPL (mostly financial planning I have to say).
Let's hope I can start pretty soon and contribute to the forum, even in a very candid way.

So you live near Spa? Lucky you, Spa is a very nice place I think. I visited a couple of years ago while I was on holiday.
I live in Scarborough, the most boring dump in the universe (especially if you like Belgian beer because there are no proper beer shops here, if I want good beer then I have to go to Brussels and buy it!)
Welcome onto Luchtzak

Don't you live near the "Spa" yourself, Comet. I seem to recall that Scarborough has a complex of that name.
If you think that Scarborough is a dump then you need to visit Cleethorpes or MAblethorpe in Lincolnshire. If Lancashire takes your fancy then Morecambe must rate highly - there they stack the deceased in the bus shelters to make it look busy!
OOODF Welcome to the madhouse!!!

You are right there Concordino - I had forgotten about my local "spa". (For those who do not know Scarborough, the Spa is a theatre complex used to host shows, conferences and things like that).concordino wrote:Don't you live near the "Spa" yourself, Comet. The Scarborough Spa Complex (and part of South Bay beach).
I've never been to Mablethorpe or Cleethorpes, but I do remember a grim day in Morecambe when I was still at school. The English seaside towns are dead in my opinion. The Irish and Scottish towns are nice though!
Sorry for being
OOODF - good luck with your flying lessons! I envy you

Thank you all
Well, one can really feel welcome here. Thank you for your posts.
So, I don't remember exactly where it came from in the first place. Still, if ever I could buy a plane in some other life, I think I would love to have her registered as OO-ODF.
Actually, André, it's the registration I once put on a drawing, years ago. It was some kind of tech drawing of a BN2 Islander that I made on my computer. To finish it up, I added the registration and picked OO-ODF for a reason I've forgotten since then.sn26567 wrote:Is OO-ODF the registration of a plane that you fly in Spa airport?
