Seen at the City2 FNAc a book on the Belgian aviation after Sabena (although it seems to speak also of the end of Sabena) : "Turbulente tijden".
Has somebody read it ? Is it worth its price (19,95 euros) and interesting ?

I've read most of the book, and yes I think it is interesting and worth the money; recommended!

Hello airazurxtror,
I've read the book. It's an interesting summary on the Belgian aviation market since 2001...
For me, the biggest part of the book is a summary of two others books, "de crash van sabena" and "Luchtvaart een feest? : de trieste geschiedenis van VG Airlines"...
The last chapter is the most interesting, because the authors make their final conclusions. Conclusions based on the information we have, now in 2011. In some aspects this brings a new and interesting dimension to the Belgian aviation story. The only thing a personally miss in this book, is a vision for the future… What Belgian aviation could be within 10 years from now… my personal opinion: “probably a small, but hopefully profitable part of a bigger unit…”
If you love Belgian aviation the 19,5 € are well spend…
Grtz,
ATC

I found this book quite interesting.
The (short) chapter about Belgocontrol was particularly interesting to me (it gives an accurate view of the company).

For "Belgian aviation" please substitute "commercial air transport in Belgium".
Hint: there's more to aviation than airliners.

The cover subtitle is : "De Belgische luchtvaart na Sabena".
Also Google translates "Belgische luchtvaart" as "Belgian aviation".

I was not wanting to shoot at the messenger, neither did I know whose error it was. It remains a mistake, or should I say "too narrow terminology". Of course that is a secondary point: a good book with a less than perfect title is much better than a poor book with whatever title.
[[edit: on second thought, the messenger is under no obligation to support or repeat the author's mistake]]
