Jetair founder passed away

Post by sn26567 »

Gérard Brackx, the founder of Jetair and Jetairfly and a pioneer of tourism in Belgium, passed away yesterday. A Boeing 737-800 of Jetairfly is named and registered after him (OO-JBG for Jetair Brackx Gérard).

The Luchtzak team send their condolences to his family and the staff of Jetair and Jetairfly.

Tribute to Belgian tourism pionieer Gerard Brackx: a Jetairfly Boeing 737 made low 360° turn over Ostend, at the end of funeral service earlier today.

Today, exactly 40 years ago, the first Jetair vacationers departed from Brussels Airport on OO-SRK, a Sabena Caravelle (and, unrelated, exactly 30 years ago, the first Boeing 767 made its maiden flight). Where are the times?
