So, have you send your letter to jambon and bourgeois?
What do you think about the treaturous move of the Flemish Christian Democrat?
I always wonder why they keep the "Christian" when you see them acting...there's nothing Christian in their words or attitude, particularly Kris(t) Peeters!!!
I am not political active because I have no trust in politics, at any level. (I have witnessed
in persona the vote buying with 1 M old belgian francs so 1 person would walk over to another party, resulting in an absolute majority in that town. I was the guard of the man with the bag of money )
PM Leterme has used once the expression " it would only cost 5 minutes of political courage" . But he refused afterwards to determine exactly what he meant by it.
Treason in Flanders has existed for a long time. When you look at the history of Flanders you see constantly this treason by the leaders, against the will of the population.
Worst examples are first of all Lodewijk II, who even fought with the French army against his own people. Justice was done when he died during the battle of Crecy, fighting for the same French against the English.
His son Lodewijk Van Male betrayed in the same way his people and sent the French army to subdue the Flemish uprisings. One of the famous French warlords was Enguerrand VII, Lord of Coucy, who enjoyed slaugtering Flemish peasants. His fate would end in the most devasting way, first losing the last "crusade", the battle of Nicopolis, seeing thousands of his
robbers in arms being executed, and eventually die in captivity in dreadfull circumstances.
So if there is a god, we might say that he has punished the betrayers: The House of Dampierre vanished after Lodewijk II. And with Enguerrand VII did also die the real last Lord of Coucy.
So far the history lesson
I don't believe anymore in so called land slide victories for 1 Flemish party that will at last set the record straight. We lived in the CVP-state. This was crushed by an overwhelming VLD victory who made a government with nothing more unpredictable than the Green Party. The liberal voters were so sick of the betrayel that eventually, they split their votes over LDD, and later to NVA. But I have not 1 second believed that this will improve democracy ( which just means "the people rule" ) Too much honey, too sweet to resist betrayel.
