Qatar Airways Cargo moving to LUX from AMS
AMS ops suspended per schedule, possibly HHN to go too, LUX linking to US, nothing up in schedules yet, LUX was also served in the past.

I reckon this has everything to do with QRs investment into Cargoluxglobetrotter wrote:AMS ops suspended per schedule, possibly HHN to go too, LUX linking to US, nothing up in schedules yet, LUX was also served in the past.

What does ""per schedule" mean and do you know when AMS ops are suspended?globetrotter wrote:AMS ops suspended per schedule, possibly HHN to go too, LUX linking to US, nothing up in schedules yet, LUX was also served in the past.

Re: Qatar Airways Cargo moving to LUX from AMS
Do you mean the online Qatar Airways Cargo schedule? I'm asking because they show no schedule for any destination after 01SEP11.globetrotter wrote:It means per Qatar Airways Cargo schedules AMS suspended, no flights showing for it, LUX sched not up there yet either.
Re: Qatar Airways Cargo moving to LUX from AMS
To be honest, it looks like the QR Cargo online schedule is not performing well. According to that schedule there shouldn't be any flight this week by QR Cargo to AMS. However, QR has landed at AMS today and is in the schedule for tomorrow....globetrotter wrote: It means per Qatar Airways Cargo schedules AMS suspended, no flights showing for it, LUX sched not up there yet either.
Moreover one would expect an announcement by QR if they'll move their ops to LUX.

I don't want to start an endless dicussion here, but I want to clarify some things about the Qatar Airways Cargo website.globetrotter wrote:Yes the online schedule is not listing amsterdam, all other routes schedules showing normally.
Their search engine is a bit inaccurate. Using the basic search engine on their homepage will give you no results for Amsterdam. But when you do another search in the pop-up window which comes after you do a basic one on their homepage, you will see Amsterdam listed as both SPL and AMS. Amsterdam under SPL will return no schedules, but AMS will. As you will see, AMS has flights listed like any other QR destination, including PAX destinations, only until 01SEP11. So even destinations like LHR, FRA and CDG return no results after that date.
I'm not saying QR will not move to LUX, but not overnight. There will be an official announcement before they move. Furthermore I highly doubt they will shut-down their AMS ops completely.
