On which days in August will they fly with bigger aircrafts (boeing 777, airbus 330,....) from Brussels
to Istanbul or from Istanbul to Brussels. Many thanks!

Impressive....
Is that also due to Star Alliance connection?

You can't know that for sure. When they have a very full flight in a bussy period they will upgrade it to B777/A330/A340. But even when these airplanes are loaded in the GDS it's not sure if they really come, because they don't always have a widebody available.Shanti wrote:On which days in August will they fly with bigger aircrafts (boeing 777, airbus 330,....) from Brussels

Maybe there are already widebodys loaded for August, but I think it's too early (but at the beginning and at the end of the holidays it's always bussy on TK and RAM flights).

So they publish a flight on a widebody, offer the physical capacity of a widebody for sales and on the day of operation they have a look whether a widebody is available or not!?But even when these airplanes are loaded in the GDS it's not sure if they really come, because they don't always have a widebody available.
That's not really how it works... if a flight is scheduled on a widebody, it means also in the rotational plan a widebody must be available. Even in a flight is taken in overbooking on a widebody, this will be corrected months before to avoid overbookings after having to downgrade to a smaller equipment.
With the usual exceptions, the GDS is more or less synchronized with the rotational day-to-day plan for the current season. If they publish a flight on an A330 and on the day of operation an A321 shows up, it must be an OCC decision for operational reasons (maybe an A330 goes tech on a longhaul flight, so they free up capacity from f.i. the Brussels flight, operate that flight on A321 and reroute if needed the remaining passengers).

Thanks for the information!

I couldn't have said it better, but what's you point really. If a widebody goes on tech, it is not available for the flight to BRU, right? Have I said they will load a widebody while they know months/weeks/days ahead that they can't send that one to BRU? I just said that their widebodys don't show up sometimes, because they are not available. That "not available" can be for various reasons.SN1203 wrote: That's not really how it works... if a flight is scheduled on a widebody, it means also in the rotational plan a widebody must be available.
