The next,second, event of the Bru.Air.AVGeeks is a fact .

After the KORONGO flight with the BAE146-200 OO-MJE, I and other luchtzakkers organise another daytrip for aviation fanatics/luchtzakkers/flightlevellers/Bru.AirAVGeeks.. Belgium Aviationlovers !!!

Togheter and with the fantastic help of BRUSSELS AIRLINES, we can offer you this daytrip :

What ? We're going on a daytrip to AGP/MALAGA in the South of Spain !!

When ? Sunday 4 th December 2011
Flight out : SN 3735 BRUSSELS - MALAGA 09h45 - 12h40 flighttime : 2h55'
Flight back : SN 3742 MALAGA - BRUSSELS 20h30 - 23h25 flighttime : 2h55'

Bird ? <sheduled> BOEING 737 - 300 CLASSIC GENERATION ( probably with winglets , tought I read somewhere on this forum that one wasn't equipped with this but with the flaps a little degrees locked .. )
Notice : OO-LTM of Korongo is still flying some routes, who knows.. don't hope it for Korongo but would be great, altough very low chance I guess !
Quite popular few years ago, but becoming more rare nowadays... ( some Americans would fly over to fly these birds I have read somewhere on airliners haha )
With these shedules , does anybody know if it will be the same aircraft, reg. on the both flights ( 50' stayover at BRU ! ) !

What ? So I guess we'll have probably ( depending delays,weather,winds,snow ??, ashclouds , some 6 / 7 hours to spend in Malaga, I liked the idea of visiting the small aviation museum near Malaga Airport.. open until 14h but will mail them .. if some interest..
Offcourse for those wich prefer spotting ( think it's december, so be aware of weather conditions, sundown..) Maybe it's possible to go to Malaga City, will check that also... ( nice city,been there already .. )
Offcourse it's sunday so I guess no shopping besides the airport ( FERRARI STORE ) and
not forget we'll have some tapas,vino,café, and some fun conversations with eachother ...
What I will say : everybody will be free to do what they want !! But I guess it will be an aviation day out from begin to end !
Friends , wives, husbands, children are free to join the group ... you can do what you like !
( Sinterklaas won't mention you, he isn't in town, he 's at YOUR home haha )

Hope you will all like this idea of a second trip togheter, it was first the idea to do this in october with the new A320 but october wasn't possible and trip was confirmed for 4 december 2011
with sheduled B737-300 flights, guess these birds don't stay too long yet with SN so for most of us 'average-normal-no frequent flyer-just holiday / charter -ryanairflyers ' again a nice oppurtunity
to join a SN flight 'with the good old thick seats' and the good old classic B737-300 haha

For 2012 : be prepared for Toulouse and Berlin !

A380 is also very high on my list but how to organise this in a weekend with the budget of the most of us ??
Last year was thé chance for it (CDG-LHR) but now JFK,SIN,PEK,JNB, arghhhh..
Maybe when they fly by coincidence an intra-european route (fifth right-Singapore/or so..),
or when SN get them once..

But for now... I'll be happy to fly some old ones ..
remember when the old ones are gone there still will be some A380 flying around ( my generation tough )

Yeah I know , concerning the to fly -list ,flown the B737-300 already 4 times this year ( SN to CTA & WW to BHX ), but every last flight on these is a bit like saying farewell to the B737-300 haha and
togheter with our similar aviation species it will be a nice day out !

Good news for Shopping-Addicted:
In AGP many shops will be open on sunday 04DEC11, e.g. the "Plaza Mayor" Shoppingcenter.
Very nice with many shops and restaurants, and the best: directly accessible by train from the airport in 5 minutes.

and just checked, actually the -300 is one 737 variant I have yet to fly (although not so different from a -400 I guess), so that's nice.

just being curious here : what kind of flight is this exactly ?
is it a regular flight, with some seats for the geeks -
or a special custom flight, just for our often overlooked minority ? (hard to imagine)
Maybe it's somewhere in between; or some sort of service flight or imposed aircraft movement that is put to good use?

It's just a regular flight we're on but with special conditions qua price and qua class :bFLEX !

You can join us as a 'luchtdoop' for the kids, and you're free to do what you want BUT you're part of a bunch of real aviationGEEKS which talk boeingairbusflapsseatslivery-languages !! haha
If you wanna join us it's okay,but let me also know the birthdate of the kids,maybe I can take my daughter (8 years) so she have some to play with.. not as a 'luchtdoop' she had already 50 flights on ,child of another aviationmaniac hahaha

Hi all !

IMPORTANT MESSAGE :
BRUSSELS AIRLINES CANCELLED TODAY ALL THE SECOND FLIGHTS ON SUNDAYS DURING WINTER SEASON
( except on holidays ! ), so our daytrip as mentioned is CANCELLED !

but :

WE STILL BE ORGANISING A DAYTRIP ON THE SAME DATE but
with a change of destination :

it will be ( if possible for SN ) : LIS-VIE-BCN-NCE or TXL ! ( same price )

It still will be a flight with some hours to spend at the destination..

If it turned out anything else isn't possible within these fare at this date, the trip will be cancelled!

Then the next trip will be in 2012, weekend TOULOUSE with Airbus-factory visit !

But Luchtzak is on AVRO isn't he,so I bet less chance to it ...
