Thanks you very much for your valuable contribution to the debate. Guess it's just jealousy from the southern part of this country.
Sorry but I didn't want to be cynical about Melsbroek "painters". My anger is about stupid signposting rules in this country (North & South ;) ).
As I already said, why using Louvain along the roads in Wallonia or Luik in Flanders. That 's simply what I was after.
Therefore we end up with such a surrealistic mixture.
Official Dutch translation: Kiss en Ride for Kiss and Drive. :?
Less funny:"...just jealousy from the southern part of this country..." . Just one word: pathetic !

Last time I parked my car at BRU it costed me 100 euro for 1 week. I can imagine people would take the risk and park their old car in a corner at Delhaize for free. Look at AMS, parking fees are so high at that airport, that surrounding farmers, small companies and private house owners let people park their car at their land, for a very cheap price.

Parking at AMS was very hazardous in the past. A strong (radar?) signal caused some specific cars, especially USA imported brands, to block all systems by their alarm system. A friend had his car towed away from the airport to a GM/Opel garage where they rebooted the car. He went back to the airport, and again his car was blocked. This costed him 500 € in 1 day.

I'm wondering how BRU is getting the message out to passengers about this K&R area. There was some media coverage when it opened, but will they try to contact pax through other ways? If not I fear it might stay very quiet there.

The kiss and ride zone will be suspended after 10th of july but will be on stand-by in case of heavy traffic jams and/or an accident.

Hardly anyone was using it: it must have been a big financial loss!
