They added these two extra daily flights already this winter, but if you compare S11 with S10 it's indeed an increase of 14 weekly flights.

In short the BRU-FRA flights (flights on 4 April, aircraft types may be different on other days):

Code: Select all

LH1025 BRU 06:55 FRA 07:55 B733
LH1005 BRU 08:35 FRA 09:35 A319
LH1007 BRU 09:25 FRA 10:25 E190
LH1009 BRU 11:15 FRA 12:15 A320
LH1011 BRU 13:25 FRA 14:20 B735
LH1013 BRU 14:40 FRA 15:35 A320
LH1015 BRU 17:40 FRA 18:35 A320
LH1017 BRU 18:30 FRA 19:25 B735
LH1019 BRU 19:20 FRA 20:15 B735
LH1021 BRU 20:45 FRA 21:40 CR7
The frequency is the same as this winter, maybe some small changes to the flighthours, but don't know that.

Well, what LH understands as a shuttle service you can see between FRA and TXL, 17 flights a day, usually all operated by A321s:

06:00 LH 168
06:50 LH 170
08:35 LH 172
09:15 LH 174
10:05 LH 176
11:20 LH 178
12:40 LH 180
14:05 LH 182
15:20 LH 184
16:35 LH 186
17:30 LH 188
18:20 LH 190
19:00 LH 192
19:40 LH 194
20:40 LH 196
21:50 LH 198
22:50 LH 200

so there is quite some room for improvement between BRU and FRA :D

Starting end of March SN will operate all HAJ flights with own RJ aircraft until further notice.

I have no idea why. :)

The Summer timetable is now downloadable on the Brussels Airport website. Apart from the fact that I don't like this format (pdf), there are of course some mistakes in it. These are the ones I have found by looking a first time:
  • SN463 twice weekly A330 to Cairo
  • Varadero being flown nonstop with a JAF 737
On the other hand, some other interesting facts:
  • MEA has a lot of extra frequencies. In June there are even daily flights! Also in other months 5 or 6 weeklies. Mind you: this is only in the timetable, not in Amadeus...
  • US Airways will come with the 762 iso 752 between June and September
And Adria will start flights PRN-BRU on Sundays as from the 27th of March, but only in this way. No return flights are bookable, this is confirmed by Amadeus and the Adria website... Strange thing, no?

Mistakes in the timetable as always. But I think it's better this summer, often there is a destination with a wrong shedule. I remember BRS and ATH were wrong in the S10 (if I'm correct) were wrong.

About MEA, in the timetable there is only 1 week mentionned wich is daily (26/06-04/07) and if I'm correct this is loaded in amadeus, same with the 1 week with 6 weekly flights (30/08-05/09) and the 5 weekly flights in the high season.

MEA is indeed daily loaded in the GDS for that week with daily flights, my mistake. Nice evolution there on that route. I know someone who will be very happy with that :D. And maybe we can hope for an upgrade once in a while?

There are a lot of rumours about 9W... (even that they would join the anti trust with AF/KL/DL) The fact is that there's nothing decided and that 9W still want to be in Star Alliance... If AI is finally allowed in the next months I think the chances are quite big 9W end up in Star too... (LH forced AI and the government to allow 9W into Star but they agreed only if AI could join first)

However, if AI is delayed again... Well, I think it's quite certain then that 9W will jump to the next best thing... Skyteam... 9W itself doesn't want to be in Skyteam but if AI screwes up again then they'll probably have no choice...

I think the next couple of months will be important... If AI finally manages to join Star then I think that 9W will stay at BRU and join Star too... If AI is delayed again... Well, maybe we can say bye bye to 9W then... Athough it's not certain that 9W will eventually leave BRU for AMS even when they would decide to join Skyteam or the AF/KL/DL anti trust... AMS is doing everything to get 9W into AMS but it's far from sure they'll do that... Regardless if and when they would join Skyteam or AF/KL/DL...

We'll just need to wait and see... But it will take at least months...

Oh, the 9W winterschedule 2011/2012 (as loaded into the systems) is still showing BRU (but yes, this can change fast).

Something to do with Aeroflot wich is allowed to fly 8 weekly to BRU this summer (and again planning double daily for next winter)? At least nice to see, as far as I know they wanted to fly more to Moscow but were never allowed because Aeroflot wasn't allowed to fly more to BRU either.
