New destinations for Brussels Airlines?

Let's say that you have the likely scenario that you are a random person generating in Rotterdam or The Hague and you need to get to Milan city to do a deal for your company or to see family.
Imagine that SN operates RTM-BRU.
Your flight options:
-Transavia, RTM-MXP but they fly 4 weekly and not on the days/times you need to fly. Also MXP-Milan city center is 1 hour driving.
-KLM, drive 45 minutes to AMS, then do all the airport stuff, fly AMS-LIN (very expensive).
-SN, do all the airport stuff at RTM, fly 20 minutes RTM-BRU, wait 1 hour, connect to BRU-LIN. 60 euro cheaper and more convenient/
Which one would you choose?

The busniness pax the KLM flight (much quicker and one would have more travel options). The holiday pax Transavia (don't want to connect. Furthermore, it would be very difficult to match KL prices (they aren't as expensive all the time). As for doing the airport "stuff". Many people check in online and then you don't have to be 2 hours before your flight at AMS, so where is your saving? The only reason for SN starting AMS would be the ACC flight. The Ghanian community is centered around Amsterdam and a bus service to BRU isn't very comfortable (and would certainly not attract high yield pax).

BTW you forgot option 4: drive to BRU and take SN from there.

So if SN can offer better schedule and price, there is a big chance that a pax could decide to choose SN over KL at AMS. That is also the idea behind Lille.

Which is exactly the reaon why nobody would use the flight other than for African connections. KL will always offer a superior schedule ex AMS and SN ex BRU. Or do you really think SN will be able to fill 4 times daily to AMS or RTM? We've seen in the past how much money they made on the AMS flights

If living in Rotterdam or The Hague, the easiest and cheapest option would always be to take a bus or taxi to nearby airport RTM and to enter into the airline's network.

Have you ever travelled by public taransport to RTM? By the time you're at RTM you could be at AMS by Fyra.

As far as I know the meeting went trough, but if they decided something, it's not just about one meeting I suppose. I don't know what SN is planning to do, but I think we'll know more about it next week or maybe a bit later.
The only thing we can do is wait, I'm very curious too because everyone who knows something is soo discrete, so there must be something going on.
