Santiago de Compostela was indeed rumoured, but as far as I know, it will not be on the map for the coming months or years. Ryanair and the local authorities did not come to an agreement.

According to Travel Magazine there will be a Ryanair press conference tomorrow in Charleroi about new FR routes and extra frequenties on existing routes. Who knows more?

I haven't heard anything, but I am not really surprised with all those new routes they are recently adding I was expecting some sort of conference/press release about Charleroi. Maybe a new aircraft being based - I can't see all those summer routes being flown without some additional capacity. Hopefully some seasonal routes will become year-round :)

Ryanair schrapt achttien routes vanaf Girona

In short: Due to a dispute between Ryanair and the Catalonian government, the airline will cancell 18 of of its 64 routes at Girona airport. In this context, Ryanair will reduce its aircrafts based at Girona from 11 to 6. The five freed aircrafts will be based in Eastern Europe, Italy and Belgium (read Charleroi). Could this decision have something in common with the planned press release of tomorrow of O'Leary at CRL?

"Can anyone say which cities are connected by bus out of charleroi airport? (public or private transportation)."

Megaman, just landed a few hours ago from MRS. I saw that, besides Brussels midi, there are regular busses to Luxemburg.

With all these new flights coming, where the hell are they gonna put the passengers ? It's near saturation already now! Flew out on friday to TLN and there were no parking space available in long term and had to turn around for ages to find a space in short term. Delighted with the success of the airport but they better think of a new phase of expansion work quick. I mean, we're in february what is it going to be in July ?!

No indeed. Pau has said it would not pay subsidies anymore. Ryanair retaliated by leaving Pau altogether. And CityJet stepped in with three routes from Pau: Dublin, London City and Amsterdam.

sweet !
I didn't think the upgrade would come so quickly.
So what's the official capacity now ?

The capacity of CRL should reach 6.5/7 millions pax.
Another major upgrade should follow with the so called 'master plan'
to be published soon.
Second terminal? Some cargo? Runway extension?Train or tram station?
A combi of the above possibilities probably.
