The A388 can land and take off from BRU airport however at this point BRU can only be used as a diversion airport for the A380 and it has to be loaded/offloaded on a remote stand since there are indeed issues with the width of some roads to reach the terminal. Also the necessary equipment to get the A388 pushed back isn't available at BRU, BRU simply has no big enough nose lifters for the A388 and the terminals aren't compatible with the A388 either.

So, the A388 can perfectly land and take off in BRU with is has to be handled in a remote stand...

The issue with the B744's from LH is that they are quite old and that they have a big amount of hours on the frames... AFAIK every B744 frame from LH is passing the 100.000 hour mark and several of them have passed 110.000 hours. Even though we know that LH maintains their birds very well I don't expect these to end up with SN or even another carrier... I assume these wonderfull birds will end up in the desert or maybe directly to the scrapyard to be parted out... In the mean time LH still plans to use these birds to the fullest, they are recently being upgraded with inflight internet service.

IMHO: B744's from LH at SN? Not a single chance... But oh boy, I would certainly love to see a 747 in SN's colors...

They would definitely look great, on condition they do not paint the engines lila like on the A319...
The A330's coming out of paint, are they also equipped with the new seats?

A noselifter for the A380?? With an MTOW of 650 tonnes? Nice one, as far as I know they only use push-back on that kind of a/c.

nose lifters are used far mor often, even for the A380

Indeed at Max Ramp Weight, 571 000 kg for the Pax version, the static load on the nose gear (with most forward CG) is only 39 790 kg.

Still not a place to put your foot under though. ;)

There is IFE on board the A330 !!

You mean VOD (video on demand) and personal tv screen ? Not in the coming years !

That's not correct.

This year, the A330s will start to be equiped with personal tv screens in economy too when they receive a full cabin upgrade at a total cost of almost 10M!

In fact, it's even a word's first as the system is going to be wireless, so it was said!

I think LH is using SN as test bed for a new weightsaving AVOD system, which they will install too if it proofs to work. What better place to test it that SN, which currently doesn't have any and is operating on routes where pax are not as demanding yet?

Remember the recaro seats were first tested by LH at LX... seems now it's SN's turn to test something.

no more video box under the seat in front of you, squeezing your feet together? Greatest invention of the new millenium, I would say !

According to this article (in dutch) :
http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/nl-NL/Ar ... s_A330-300

Malaysia Airlines started receiving their newest A330-300's. A total of 15 A330-300's will be delivered replacing 9 older A330-300's. The additional number of new aircraft will be used for expansion.

Maybe an opportunity for SN to get those A/C as they did with OO-SFV last year?

These are the 9 oldest A330-300's (A330-322) in MH fleet :
9M-MKA (cn 67)
9M-MKB (cn 68)
9M-MKC (cn 69)
9M-MKD (cn 73)
9M-MKE (cn 77)
9M-MKF (cn 100)
9M-MKG (cn 107)
9M-MKH (cn 110)
9M-MKI (cn 116)
