The ladies and children priority boarding is that including the male partner? Or is this a nice way to accommodate a certain division according some (religious) rules?BeOnTop wrote:Hello, very strange you can't answer my questions ... "Sugar November" and all ...
I'll be waiting ...
but those scoops are real:
- ladies and children will be priority boarding on BeOnTop Airlines.
- you can choose your kind of wrap in Eco on board by the web (10 various items).
- there will be ladies toilets.
- and my english will stay very poor, you don't need to know it to sell something in Aachen, Maastricht or Liège ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
in this stage there should have been contact made with a handler in LGG at least.
is it possible to give use the name? (tnt, aviapartner, flightcare, ...)

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Strictly speaking, I can't say I've read anything about strategy from this company, so the best is ignoring that kind of comments that is trying to keep us away from the subject, and keep on speculating as we don't have any further information....
Why not a long-haul low cost airline based in Liege (you can fly to the US with an A318, I think I read that somewhere in this forum
) ?

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
A318 is not an option with headwind* (or it needs a fuel stop: Shannon, Keflavik or Gander), but A319 has the range for LGG-JFK (i.e.) (but at which cost per seat ??? - still better than A318 anyway!)Nevihta wrote:

I think they're going for A318 as it's a cheap airplane... I think the smart move would be to have a widebody and offer intercontinental "low cost" flights from liege...
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
that's for sure. Liège-NY would be full all the time.
And cargo on that route is also very very big, so it's easy to fill the belly with anything.

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
.......but that's not the subject: the subject is about the very first (and only) official declaration of BOT (relayed by the press)that they would act (principaly) as a feeder: that remains the real reason to questions like this:
- feeder for whom?
- inbound or outbound?
- if inbound, it can be for one sole partner making a stop here (second question: which partner_ ?)
- if outbound, to which hubs and which partners ?

The first information heared on RTBF about BeOnTop was not an official declaration from BeOnTop. It was only a rumour spread after a management meeting of "Liege Airport" and denied later by "Liege Airport" spoksman through "L'Echo de la bourse" who specified that BeOnTop was still a project and nothing more. There has been no official communications from BeOnTop Airlines yet !

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
it's a little bit far away to find the video of broadcast company, but at that time, I'm sure they spoke about "feeding", like at the beginning of this tread.
that was the point I proposed to continue to investigate : as simply as that !!

Yes, but it wasn't an official communication but only a rumour, thus what was true ?an-148 wrote:... that time, I'm sure they spoke about "feeding", ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
one thing is sure in my opinion:
if everything is to be written on a white sheet of paper, if we should forget the first rumours, I would by far prefer to see the new company initiate intercontinental flights (and feed them for example with Europe flights from, let's say the Balkan, where they have a big diaspora in US and Canada without direct connection - many of their companies are Chapter2 in US) than "feeding" others somewhere with local travellers
now, that's my feeling and it is only one opinion among others

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
If it's to operate intercontinental flights, I would forget the idea of feeding in any sort... there's enough customers in the area. But if they're to operate intercontinental flights, I really hope the "BeonTop" member of this forum is not part of the project, because you definitely need a good level in english...
I really don't think it's for intercontinental flights, you need something stronger than what we see now...

Hello "an",an-148 wrote:... I would by far prefer to see the new company initiate intercontinental flights...
Ok, that's an interesting remark.
But, to make intercontinental flights you have to use an appropriate fleet, with the appropriate range capabilities. Do you think that it would be possible to fill up a 777 or a 330 with the market available in Liège?
(By the way I heard the BeOnTop team did also considered long haul flight at the beginning of the project, but they renounced because of the too high business risk)
On other ways, commercials studies leaded by 'Liege Airport' shows clearly that there is a demand in Liege for short-medium haul flights.

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
for sure, the long haul business is related to bigger investments and risks !
as for the European short to medium flights, the biggest challenge (IMHO) is to find the "niche" market (I think particularily to the once-expanding flights of Belle-Air that suddenly and unexpected in the eyes of an external viewer, received a kick in the a... ) that can ensure some perennity for the first years, at least
I'm happy to read something from StEx, who seems to know much more than "others"

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
The way I see it, BoTis nothing but a dream to set up an airline at LGG and whoever is dreaming it, is now trying very hard to make his wish reality by looking for some kind of a project that could make sense!
Normally you have it the other way round: you see market demand, come up with a viable business case to cover it profitably and then set up an airline around that, selecting fleet and name at the end.
IMHO, somebody with a lot of aspiration has floated his intentions in the hope to find somebody with inspiration.
I suggest this topic is closed until BoT communicates on their product and network strategy (if ever): it's really not up to us to find BoT a business case that could make some sense, although this is exactly what has been happening here, in case you didn't notice yet...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Hi guy's,
Let me give you my thoughts on this project.
BeOnTop is said to be a feeder airline.
Now by anylizing the Belgian market they are some openings , and certainly using LGG is a great Idea and strategy.
Now my point is one major Business/tourist destinations is not served by any airline from BRU nor any where else in Belgium, that is SIN (Singapore).
SQ is only operating Freighter flights into BRU and have no plans to expand further on pax operations.
I would think that feeding an airline such as an Asian LCC flying to LGG would be a very profitable idea.
Asia has the highest rate of LCC's in the world and operate Inter continental Flights.
One of the biggest LCC in Asia is JetStar(Subsidiary/sister LCC from Qantas Airlines)
They have JetStar in SIN covering most of Asia's main destinations and Australia.
JetStar has ordered two(2) Airbus 330-200 and are officially going to expand their network to "Europe"....
I would certainly not be surprised to see them come in LGG and have BOT be their partner in further services to European destinations out of LGG and the same for the one's flying to Asia using JetStar to fly further.
If this would be the case it certainly a very good idea and it will certainly work well.
If that is the business case the are working on , they can count on me on that project....
Mr BeOnTop Start Point Manager, if I'm correct with these thoughts you can contact me on this forum and will get you my e-mail address for further discussions....

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
I took that flight to JFK from LCY, BA0003, just near 4500 €, it's an A318 with a special steep approach equipment , but with a max of 30 pax, I don't think there is a market for this in LGG.an-148 wrote:A318 is not an option with headwind* (or it needs a fuel stop: Shannon, Keflavik or Gander), but A319 has the range for LGG-JFK (i.e.) (but at which cost per seat ??? - still better than A318 anyway!)Nevihta wrote:

Hmmm...Let me have a look inside my Crystal ball....
I see a LCC operator from the middle east operating SA A/C's, who will soon probably jump to LR operation, these guy's are looking for a joint venture semi-Low cost to distribute pax between Middle east and Europe....

Probably true this could also be an option, let's see, but would tent to think that Asian market would bring more revenue as it is not really well served from Belgium, apart from Etihad and Qatar operating from BRU with high prices thrum their respective hubs and again these are not LCC's.
Or probably combining both from SA and SIN could be something interesting...
