It's definitely more likely to see a direct entrant on the routes mentioned now, than those which were previously rumoured, but I still Wonder what they think their customer base is going to be? Can't be corporate with such destinations, base, and thin frequencies and a pure LCC with FR just next door?

Good luck to them, hope they stay on top, but I very much doubt it.

About their plane: an A319 can perfectly land at FLR too, Meridana does it all the time, so it needn't be an A318, and in fact if they want this project to make any sense, they better use an A319 with high seating numbers to keep ticket prices down...

Yes indeed, tell me another company that can land at FLR except Meridiana ?

I hope Meusinvest stays away from this "project". It smells like daylight robbery, rip-off... :problem:
You seem to be a great specialist, Why ?
I'm not !
But I am old enough to know that Davos has no airport. Nearest place is Zürich (160 Km).
Best regards.
Sorry old man, Davos is 60 km from Samedan Airport, and open for A 318

Why do you ask?

Alitalia serves FLR with A319 too...

Alitalia is having a max pax at 100 for FLR, so an A318 with 124 pax should not be a bad choice ...

Do you mean it makes more sense to operate an A318 than an A319 to FLR?

From a route perspective, I agree, but from an airline perspective, I'd say it depends on what other routes apart from FLR the plane is to be used on throughout the week: if it is ONLY used there where an A319 would be payload restricted, then it doesn't make sense indeed to go for a bigger plane, but otherwise, I'd say I'd still prefer an A319 for CASM reasons, especially if you operate as a feeder...

As we all know, the A318 is quite a niche plane, so for it to be positively preferred over an A319, one must have some very specific plans with it, unless it comes available at very interesting lease rates, but then it is taken as a cheap A319 substitute.

It was said they plan on operating at least 5 and possibly 10 planes? 5 to 10 A318s then? Or a mixed fleet?

Anyway, they seem to have an interesting fleet plan and thus a very enigmatic business concept...

hi,

With all this in mind, I think the fares will be too high (for me )..
First indeed, what/who will they feed from our tiny LGG ??
Who will be the long haul ? Air Asia?
It doesn't make sense as all ITA's will be flown to Bel why don't they fly direct
to BGY or STN instead, think the market is bigger over there..
Hainan ?

Also all those Italian flights with AZ operating from BRU from fares from 100euro,
SN in bLight, FR from CRL ... they must have seen a very special niche market with their niche plane..
Altough the A318 is still missing in my flown-list  !

I can imagine they will serve the big italian immigrants of Liege-Genk-Limburg but to fill
so many planes with them the fares must be low and indeed I don't see this with A318..

Even the predicted expansion of Easyjet has no more rumours since a few months ,if this
areas are so under served why didn't serve Easyjet these already,.. ( FCO for ex. )..

2011 will be interesting..

Once again, crucial point :

where would they park all those aircrafts at night and week ends ?
Anyone coming those times to LGG knows it's quite crowded next to the passenger terminal...

it does not look fake to me.
Searching google now I found a lot of interesting info, I have the name of a few people and are active in aviation (exept one of them). It looks quite strong actually.

I won't copy what I found here because there are quite a lot of personal info, just use google but I can tell you BeOnTop International S.A. is Luxembourg based.

EDIT : found also that one of the guy who own the company has currently an office in LGG.
EDIT2 : found also that this same guy is a consultant to create a 5* hotel in Liège

grnkg> hoax ? 2 of their people are currently captain for TNT. is it enough to unleash your curiosity ?

PS : I love google ;)
