Re: Contrail spotting December 2010
HI to you all,
At long last some photos for december .The last 3 weeks we have had rain, snow, ice and the temperture down to -8.------------------Today we had blue sky but a lot of haze so i lost some photos due to this +the humidity was 82%.-----So yes blue skys but not so good blue skys .
I did not get a lot of movements today due to most of the aircraft going west(USA/CANADA) routing along the ENGLISH CHANNEL,may be due to the wind over the atlantic???????? and most of the aircraft going west --GERMANY TO THE USA-- was to far away+the sky was to hazy.
Photos below are ALL taken with the BAROW.
QUALITY NOT GREAT DUE TO THE HAZE .
BOEING 777 OF ROYAL BRUNEI OUT OF LHR ROUTING EAST IN UL607.
OMNI AIR DC-10-30 ROUTING EAST ON AIRWAY UL607.
AIR CANADA BOEING 767 ROUTING EAST ON AIRWAY UL607.
AIR BERLIN AIRBUS A330 ROUTING WEST ON AIRWAY UL607.
AIR INDIA BOEING 777 OUT OF LHR ALSO ON UL607.
US AIR AIRBUS A330 ROUTING EAST ON UL607.

Re: Contrail spotting December 2010
Not very impressive zoom-wise, but I like it anyway. Lufthansa A340 I think, heading west.
The cloud on the left was created by this bird, that flew by approx. 1 minute earlier, also heading west.
Looks like a Delta 767 to me ?

Re: Contrail spotting December 2010
Not a good question, Björn };-) The obvious answer is: they can be found in the one and only official source of information for aviation in Belgium: the AIP. And yes, you might be surprised but our beloved country is far enough in the technological progress to publish that info on the internet. It does require login, but the credentials are granted without any problem, nor is any payment required.
Here's the source of all information: WWW.BELGOCONTROL.BE
(but not of all wisdom, more's the pity...)
