Looks like there was a small issue. But the aircraft left MRS again , with a slight delay though...
Maybe gear unsafe indication, as otherwise I don't suppose it would be flying again :)

Anyway, that is if the info you got was about the flight from VLC.

Grtz!

The CDG-MRS-CDG (G-BMRA) landed tonight 04:39Z in MRS. It's scheduled to leave back to CDG this evening at 19:30Z.
The (LEJ)-MRS-VLC (G-BIKO) was off-block from MRS with 42min delay indeed but at the time I'm writing, it is on the ground at Valencia and scheduled to do the opposite trip this evening.

I can't find anything stated in the news, indeed maybe only a small issue there.
Where have you heard that?

Incident: DHL Air B752 at Marseille on Nov 23rd 2010, unsafe gear indication
A DHL Air Boeing 757-200, registration G-BIKU performing freight flight D0-8526 from Valencia,SP (Spain) to Marseille (France), was on final approach to Marseille descending through 1800 feet when the crew aborted the approach reporting an unsafe main gear indication. The crew climbed back up to 5000 feet and entered a holding for about 40 minutes before the crew commenced another approach. On short final tower reported all gear was down. The airplane landed safely about 50 minutes after aborting the first approach.

Maintenance determined, that the gear had been fully down and locked, the unsafe indication was false. 2 light bulbs were replaced.

The airplane was able to depart Marseille again after 2:40 hours on the ground performing flight D0-1985 to Leipzig (Germany).

Is the unsafe main gear 'indication' simply the absence of a green light somewhere in the cockpit?

All this fuss for just 2 light bulbs?

This shows how the press is sometimes inflating the smallest incident.

What was inflated? The TS stated that he heard something about a gear up landing, but could not find any information about it. It was never stated where the original information came from.

@sn26567
Got the info from a firefighter, he heard it from a friend firefighter working at EBBR...
Never my intention to blow up things, contrary to some people on this site... I just want FACTS, and I want them verified (by others..) if possible.
Happy now?

My comment was not aimed at you, but at some media who make a lot of fuss about a minor incident. You were quite right to report the incident when nothing else what known about it!
