Always a nice configuration if you want the have landing and departing aircraft at the same time, at least if you find the right spot near Zeventommen... :)

At the moment, runway 07L is in use for landings, 07R for take-offs.

Which runway configuration will most likely be in use on thursday ? Very strong S to SSW winds expected.

Might go spotting if the 'spotters-friendly' runways are in use.

Runway 20 for sure, starting from the morning till at least somewhere in the early evening. Winds are expected to be around 22kts at peak during the mid of the day with gusts up to 48kts. The bad weather is the reason why I also don't go spotting on thursday, although such high winds can be impressive to see them landing.

Even with good weather I can't see a good place for spotting landing aircraft on runway 20, at least not near the touch-down zone (except for those lucky b*** in the tower ;) ). Maybe the sand hill near the intersection 25L/7R X 20/02, but it's quite far. If only there was something like 127 bis for runway 20...

The upper floor of parking 3 might be an option, especially for runway 20 departures.

For runway 20, maybe the gas station on the Haachtsesteenweg, or the small road next to the police station ?

By the way, approaches ánd take-offs from runway 20 ? Is that even possible during the rush hours ?

As of 8h20 (LT) today, runway usage is standard: dep 25R, arr 25L, with the wind "only" 12 kts.
Stronger winds expected later today, so this is bound to change.

Landed around 11.20LT: SE-RJA Tor Air B734 as OAI001.

Indeed. Such a wind should certainly have a serious incidence on punctuality (especially if there is only one runway - 20 - in service), and everything seems normal at BRU...

Congratulations, guys!
