Post by sn26567 »

County employee working on courthouse grounds discovers missing airplane part.

FAA officials have confirmed a hydraulic service access door detached from the underbelly of an Alitalia Boeing 767 heading into JFK for landing and fell in Garden City Saturday at approximately 4:55 p.m.

FAA spokesperson confirmed that the object was in fact a hydraulic service access door. It came from the underbelly of the aircraft, located between the two main gears

Measuring 1 foot by two feet and weighing four lbs, the airplane part apparently detached from the commercial airliner as it was flying over the Garden City/Mineola border.

most members know what I think about Alitalia, new Alitalia or whatever.
Seems that they bought tape from the Lidl instead of 3M :)
Okay, just a 2 kg piece, no big worries. What are we complaining about?
