Re: BRU 25/08/2010
anyone an idea what UA951 (BRU-IAD) was doing?
first it was delayed by 1 hour and when it departed it flew south, towards Cambrai and further into France ???

Re: BRU 25/08/2010
An SN A330 (I think it was OO-SFW) made an emergency landing at BRU at around 12.35. Landed on 25R, emergency forces out in full force. It taxied off the runway near the end of 25R (near Abelag), then sat on the taxiway for about 15 minutes, before being towed to the stand. Anyone know what was wrong?

Re: BRU 25/08/2010
no idea, but I followed it on the radar (ATCbox)...I noticed it flying around Tournai/Doornik at FL70 and not making any progress. Then, it turned around maintaining FL70 and heading towards AFI (Affligem), then towards Lier and descending to FL29, onwards to BRU. It only did around 130kts and made a few circles sometimes (burning fuel probably)...actually, i thought it was a radar error.teach wrote:An SN A330 (I think it was OO-SFW) made an emergency landing at BRU at around 12.35. Re: BRU 25/08/2010
Depending on the weather, the headwinds or the traffic overhead the NORTH ATLANTIC, it sometimes happens that NAT flights are crossing quite southerly. In that case they leave Europe by overflying the french coasts (Brittany or Normandy) instead of the usual way trough Uk or Ireland.airtrotter wrote:anyone an idea what UA951 (BRU-IAD) was doing?

Re: BRU 25/08/2010
There was a problem with the gear (nosegear if I'm not mistaken), apparently it got jammed. SFW left BRU around 1500lt as SN1205 performing BRU-CKY-DKR-BRU as a result of crew limitations.teach wrote:

Note that SFW stranded in DKR a while a go with a damaged nosegear. Seems to be SFW's Achillesheel.
Kind regards,

Re: BRU 25/08/2010
This morning, KF 801/KF 802 was cancelled. As result of that, KF 803/KF 804 will be operated by a MD-90...!
Re: BRU 25/08/2010
Since 15 August all KF flights to BRU are operated by a mix of B717 and MD90, and the morning flights are not always operated. Over a few weeks/months, all flights to BRU should be operated by B717 only.Airbus A330 wrote:This morning, KF 801/KF 802 was cancelled. BTW, KF has only 1 717 yet, and BRU and CDG seems to be the only destinations to get the 717 at this moment. (At least on weekdays, comming saterday they will operate two B717 flights to CPH)
