Thx for your reply
That's a shame does you also know why they still don't use it after more than 8 year after installation ?
Is it because the airlines don't want to pay for it? Are there technical problems they're not willing to solve ?

I thought it was never installed after Sabena's bancruptcy and the fact that SNBru and later BruAir never really focused on a European hub...

Could be wrong though...

Don't know the official reason but personally I think Stij could be right, sounds also logic to me. In busy moments they even used the caroussels in the old terminal building, but that was only some years ago and isn't the case right now anymore.

FYI: lugguage handling can be really busy and narrow in the morning peak-hour (8.30-11.30) but after 12-13 lt, plently of space left.

What do you mean with never installed ? Because I've once walked around under the A-pier and it wasn't an empty space. There were carrousels to assemble bags and conveyers to drop arriving bags. and a systems of carts on rails.

In the Masterplan of Brussels Airport there is 20 million Euro foreseen to upgrade the new baggage handling.

Thing is that they will need it when they are going to extend the "A pier West" with 28 NB gates or 14 WB gates.
Pier A will require its own baggage system.
