In his last press conference at the new Africa flights inauguration event (5 July), Brussels Airlines' co-CEO Michel Meyfroidt said he hoped Korongo would be ready to fly by the end of 2010 or in early 2011, but without committing for any dates.

The airline would start with three planes. I heard two 737s and one 146, but others have reported one 737 and two 146s.

Yes I know what they said about the date they hope to start operations, but the 737 must leave the fleet earlier, because it will get some adjustments (better suited to the African market) and he need to be painted and things like that... And I heard some months ago he would leave the fleet in July.

About Korongo flying with two 2 737' s and 1 BAe or 1 737 and 2 BAe's: It would be logical as Korongo will fly 1 737 and two BAe 146's. SN owns only 1 737 and al the BAe 146-200's are also owned by SN. BTW, the two BAe's that were planned for AirDC got some expensive updates (the other BAe's didn't got these updates), it would be stupid if they don't use them both. Probably more 737's will folow later, but I doubt they will start with two. Altough I can be wrong to.

I would like to see an SN A320 operating to Tel Aviv. Let's hope for it, altough it are still rumours (altough very strong rumours it seems).

Yes they have some extra TLV flights this summer because of high demand. An A320 would be welcome on that route, I would even say A321 but I don't think we will see A321's operating for SN.

Hum... yes... sorry... It is not "reasonable" from my part... as I must admit I do really LIKE this airline and I want them to reconquer both belgian & international markets!
