Just saw 9W/JAI225 overflying my house. Any reason for this huge delay?

It arrived at BRU on 23/02/2010 at 00.08 local time from Chennai on its way to JFK. The flight was delayed for more than 15 hours due to a technical probem. It is unpossible to make up the lost time, therefore it arrived yesterday evening at 22.00 local time from JFK on his way to Chennai. It was A330 VT-JWJ.
