hi all,
I was having a discussion with a friend last night about the old sabena days. but then we both had a question we couldn't answer, so I'm asking it on this forum.
sabena used to codeshare flights with VEX. everybody knows that SN passengers on flights operated by VEX were often (if not always) complaining about the lack of service on those flights. now, the question is: did VEX passengers receive the full economy service (for which they actually didn't pay) on the flights operated by SN?
Any help on this matter would be highly appreciated.
cheers,
fred

I confirm Frederic's statement: All SN/TV codeshare flights were operated by Virgin Express on B737s. The first rows were allocated to SN business class passengers, which received C class treatment. They were the only ones not to complain.Sabena_690 wrote:As far as I remember, all SN-TV codeshares during the Sabena times were operated by VEX.
In Y class, there has been for some time a colour code system, by which SN passengers could get some form of (small) preferential treatment, but it did not last very long.

In June 1999 we flew with a Sabena ticket to Barcelona. ( cheaper than VEX ) It was off course a VEX 737. When we came back to EBBR we had the chance to take an earlier flight that was arriving later ( our normal flight was also delayed ) in Barcelona. The check in agent put us in the first row and indeed we got C treatment. A very nice surprise especially since it was exactly on my birthday and... I was allowed a cockpit visit.
