Put all the happened events togheter in a movie, a portugese 'manuel' and you have almost
a sitcom that can compete fawlty towers!
Come'on gliderpilot!

This is not funny for a air force member, definatly NOT for the troops or their families but for an
outsider?
This events on it's own aren't surely not strange on its own but in the order they definetaly mark a lack of..
something IMHO.

Oh yes it does! This marks to me that they didn't look so very well at the offer and equipment offered by HiFly,just to some figures.. as they did many times before ( bullets with other measures that other EU countries for ex.,Augusta choppers just because the manufacture.. have to go on..
All these were the seeds ... as I said before...

Cx-B
PS darjeeling, could you give me some info of the events of sagaplane OO-VBR,flown it once but never heard
the stories...and you made me curious ( would maybe be the factor that SN will exit this plane as first)
New types flown 2024 : DO228, A338 , PC6

As I wrote: You can blame the air force for picking HiFly as the provider for the aircraft, but not for the operation of the back up aircraft. HiFly agreed to provide a backup aircraft with more or less the same capabilities of the A330 (by signing the contract), so it is their responsibility for the flawless operation of it.

Next step : I've just heard on radio that this A310 was blocked in Tadjikistan !! Pax were militaries coming back home after a 6-month duty period in Afghanistan ... Bad luck ... It seems there is still a fuel leak problem on the aircraft ...
