Hello,
This morning, i came back from Hong-Kong to Brussels via Munich on flight LH4602 (expected 10.20 AM in Brussels).
The flight is fully booked (Embraer - 108 seats)
Due a little bit snow in Munich, we start with a 30 min delay.
Everything is ok untill we land in Brussel.
We do a "kiss" and directly a go. Just touch the pist and immediatly powerfull engine to go up again during 20 minutes before landing normally.
We got any information about crew or captain but most passengers were surprised.
Due this problem, some connections were missed.
Does someone get imore informations about this?
Thank you.

Not all "incidents" will reach the news/internet. Unless somebody at the aircraft or airport will report it. (like you). Thank you for sharing this news, but I guess Lufthansa (or Brussels Airport) will not report anything about this.
I could be wrong though![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
Nice to read that you made a safe landing after all.

Hi,
Really strange and quite unusual ...
2 possibilities : either the crew made a too long landing and then they decided to apply full power to be airborne again, because the runway might be not long enough to assure a safe full stop ( do you have any idea about the point on the runway where you touched ?? ), either the runway was not clear by the preceeding landing aircraft and the tower ordered a very late go-around or the captain decided on its own to go around ...
It would very very interesting to know
Have a nice day

Strange, I had already 4 go-arounds (VEX in LIS (Aircraft on runway), FR in ALC (Cross-wind), SN in VCE (Fog) and CZ in CAN) and the captain always explained the reason for the go-around, except for that China Southern in Guangzhou, but that was on a Chinese Airline and they never explain anything.
Cheers,

Yesterday morning, the airport reported medium to poor braking action at some time.
Might be an explanation.

Pilot reported to ATC as the reason for the go-around: "We flared too high". Quite a steep flare, a gentle kiss and then he took off again. A strange sight indeed...

So they made it too long to be sure the aircraft will stop before the runway end ...
Anyway, it's a good decision to go around and make a new approach ...
