on Casper I see planes from Brussels Airlines with a code BEL23Z. Why is that code not starting with SN?

Thanks for your explanation

BEL (used to be DAT) is the ICAO code for Brussels Airlines, SN is the IATA code. On Casper, all aircrafts are identified with their ICAO code, like UAL (United, UA), BAW (British Airways, BA), EIN (Aer Lingus, EI),...

this new website:

http://airtraffic.umwelthaus.org/

is meant to follow noise from air traffic at Frankfurt airport, but it is a nice tool as well to just watch the traffic movements at the airport.

Maybe some of you already found it out but on Casper frontier you can also see the registrations. Ok most traffic at that site is for AMS but sometimes you can see traffic for BRU.

Greetings,

Flightradar24.com is better for the traffic at BRU. Almost whole Europe is coverd, and a few other small parts of the world.

It seems http://www.Flightradar24.com is the best for belgium, but anything below 3000 feet is very hard to catch => no precise landing for BRU, no landing at all for LGG and CRL.
Anybody with a better solution ?

"Casperflights.com" is giving very accurate information, at least for Brussels and Charleroi (and other interesting places like Amsterdam, London, Milan, Rome, Dusseldorf, ...). The only problem is that info is provided with 15 min delay. For live info, there is a contribution of 5 EURO/month. But really worth for me.

No problems here with this site. I use it a lot. Btw, why would you need the landing at CRL? For the ryanairs? ;)

Well, i'm more interested by LGG with the variety of cargo, but it would be nice to see the whole country ...

There is a solution, you have to buy your own SBS antenna, and link it to their site. All problems are solved because the antenna's have 300-350km range so also CRL is covered. ;)

it's not a cheap solution though ... but yes, that would be nice ;)
it's too bad they all have their seperate network, because if we had only one site with all SBS connected, the coverage would be near 100% I guess

hey, first (of many) post(s) here.
I found this site a while back. you can compare it to the Casper or Flightradar24 sites, but it ain't so fancy. http://www.radarvirtuel.com/ I think it only shows high altitude (in B at least).
cheers, Gaetan
