This midday I just came for the Air Algerie and while driving on the Haachtsteenweg, I saw two interesting birds at Melsbroek :

- a C-130 too dark to be a BAF one ?
- Turkish Air Force Transall 160 white with a red tail ;)

I was told yesterday that a Canadian Herc was due - 130320. Either on an Open Skies mission or just having finished one. Didn't read it off so will need confirmation.

The Air Mauritius is all white and now parked in front of the LH Technik hangars (see photo below). Any idea what the purpose of its visit is? How long will it be staying?

Imagine it's an A340 iso an A330 SN would have to get due to the shortage of available A330's????

As 3B-NAV didn't receive the new MK colors yet, it's possible that he was painted white to come in maintenance and get the new livery later...

On a sidenote, I would also love to see an A340 in the SN fleet...

It was a direct flight from MRU to BRU. This aircraft was in storage since 18 April 09.

But what could be the reason for this ferry flight:

1) has Air Mauritius a contract with Lufthansa Technic? Lufthansa Technic has at BRU no painting facilities. Maybe just line maintenance?

2) a lot of airlines are leasing out their "spare aircraft" during the hatch.

3) this is just a dream -> this aircraft was build in '95, maybe one for SN??

Build in '95. Thats not so young for an A340 but it would be the youngest long haul plane in SN's fleet.

Hello,

I think there isn't a big chance that this bird will fly for sn.

Seen with a new reg EI-EHZ from AWAS
