QR expanding routes and frequencies
http://www.gulfnews.com/business/Aviation/10348229.html
Although there is apparently a demand for flights between DOH and BRU, QR doesn't seem interested in flying to BRU.

Re: QR expanding routes and frequencies
And Oman Air is expanding its still modest European network from one (LHR) to four (CDG, FRA, MUC) destinations. Why does nobody want to fly to BRU ?

Re: QR expanding routes and frequencies
That article is not complete because QR is going to announce very seen two new destinations in Europe.

Re: QR expanding routes and frequencies
I'm posting a link to Qatar Airways's web site which basically repeats what was said in the Gulf News article (sorry for the repetition). Maybe the journalist just took the info from the web site to write his article.

Whatever, I hope Atlantis is right and one of the two destinations will be BRU. I'm wondering if a codeshare with SN would be possible with b.air offering connections in BRU to a number of European destinations on the model of the codeshares with EY. But maybe the agreement with EY stipulates that b.air cannot enter any new codeshares with other Gulf States airlines. Anyone any idea or info on this ?

Re: QR expanding routes and frequencies
Hi Atlantis, I don't remember everything which is being discussed on this forum, however I did remember that the DOH BRU route was mentioned in the topic BRU 09-10. I just wanted to open a new topic concentrating on this subject in order to see if some guests were interested in developing it or if they had some new info or suggestions. I hope you are right that QR will open two new European destinations soon and that one of them will possibly be BRU. However, it is mentioned nowhere. I don't know if you are allowed to disclose your source of information.

Hi Air Key West. No problem in this case about the source. It was also Gulfnews and the link was posted this year on the forum. Member Airbuspilot reminded us in the topic BRU 09-10.Air Key West wrote:Hi Atlantis, I don't remember everything which is being discussed on this forum, however I did remember that the DOH BRU route was mentioned in the topic BRU 09-10. But finding a link on this forum is not that easy.

Thanks Atlantis. Don't waste your time looking for it. Let's hope they choose to fly to BRU soon. Honestly, I don't understand why they prefer to fly to MAD and STO rather than BRU, the administrative capital of Europe. But they must have their reasons.

Re: QR expanding routes and frequencies
BRU will not be one of the 2 new European destinations to be announced. QR will expand their network with new points in East Europe & Scandinavia.
