Travelling with ryanair, age 17 year

Post by Mirror »

Hello,

I am travelling with friends to Milan with Ryanair.
Two of them are 17, I am 18.
My question is that these 2 people who are 17 need to have a permition to travel without their parents ?

Thanks,
Greetz

This should explain it

http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php ... &quest=uam

Basically if you are over 16 your ok, unless you are Spanish, French, Portuguese, Latvian or Croatian, or you are travelling to Portugal or Croatia, then you need to see the above for instructions.

ANyone feel free to correct me if I interpretted incorrectly.

If there's still some doubt, you can send an e-mail with your questions to Foreign affairs. They usually answer quickly...

There is some other info on www.brusselsairport.be

Unaccompanied children
Children under 5 years of age cannot travel unaccompanied. Children over that age can travel as an "unaccompanied minor". They should be dropped at the airport's departure hall by a parent or guardian and similarly collected at the other end. During their journey they will be under the permanent supervision of airport personnel and cabin crew.

Because of obvious reasons, rigorous procedures are in force here, including a thorough identity control. Ask advice from your travel agent or from the airline.

** I don't know if 17 year olds are still seen as ''unaccompanied minors"...

As nearly always, the question about Ryanair is answered on the Ryanair website :
