All documentation shows EBSU as a reserve field of the Belgian Air Component. Yet over several years I can never remember a single Notam or other sign of activity there. What is its current status? When was the last aircraft movement? Any planes in storage there? What intentions/plans for the future?
NB do not confuse with nearby civilian EBSH, that is a nice place and quite active.

Re: EBSU Saint Hubert Air Base
There was quite a lot activity during the Belgian Gliding Nationals of 2007, the championship was held there because EBSH was too small (lots of participants). For 10 days EBSU became a licensed airfield.
I heard, occasionaly there is a C130 doing touch and go (or just 1?). Although this might just be rumors...

Re: EBSU Saint Hubert Air Base
A lot of completely non military or aviation related activities are being held at EBSU. e.g motorbike/car races, scouts camps, nature promoting organisations etc... Very strange indeed. The place must be very quiet causing an important local game population.
When,in 2007, the belgian soaring nationals took place at EBSU, the organisers had to undertake some last minute measures like the installation of a windsack, trace treschold lines delimiting the runway lenght to some 800 m. The runway surface needed to be cleaned to avoid loose concrete pieces could damage the gliders during the take-off tow etc...Grass is growing on the runway joints. Sometimes however,a C130 or some heli's are passing by. Mostly when military maneuvers are taking place in the region. A couple of years ago it happened a lot of military vehicels arrived at EBSH (civilian airfield at 1 km of EBSU) with a completely surprised commander who tought he arrived at EBSU
