I went to BRU last Thursday for an early begin of the day. I was present from 7AM till 5:30PM. Runway use was 25R for heavy's & 25L for smaller aircraft in the morning & till noon, in the afternoon (just as the RAK should have arrived) they changed runways to RWY 07L for arrivals & departures. Quite a sight for me, had seen this happening for maybe couple of other times but not as a single runway configuration. And I had never seen the 07L spot before so it was really a new door that opened for me. Nice place to make pictures.
And so I want to share some pics I took that day. Mainly heavy's & some other aircraft.

Then Runways switched to RWY 07L. Lucky I was able to get a ride AGAIN to another runway. many thanks for that.

I perfectly remember the "aborted " landing of the Asiana Heavy. I was there too !
Early morning seems to be a very good timing as there're a lot of long haul traffic. At the moment, I see them every day on approach for 25R (as 25L is partially closed) above Werchter.

Might be possible that we meet, during the summer I visit BRU a couple of times. During the year I'm becoming a rare visitor (unfortunatly).
Hi, in the afternoon i was returning from camp and we stopped by wetteren and i swear i could see a b747 or a340 (four engines) flying very low in a brownish,yellow creamy scheme anyone had any idea? It was around 5.
edit found it: it was the saudiarabian cargo one, well thanks for the pictures! (was a nice surprise, has been a long time ago since i saw a 747, besides the MK cargo ones in oostende)
--> fretn: well from time to time you might see a Saudi 747 pass around there, but then mostly at night time inbound for EBOS. They used to operate regularry some night flights into EBOS. But recently we don't really see them anymore around there.

I arrived at BRU from LHR on BA on Thursday. First time I was on a flight that arrived on 07L. Great approach, right over central Brussels! Absolutely wonderful!
I guess that must indeed be great. And it's a situation you wont see that much. Too bad I was just for a couple of minutes not paying attention when talking to a collegue of me. I saw the BA and some others arriving. If I would have been 'standby' I would have probably taken a picture of that one so my appologies, I can't give you one of your arrival
