Hi,
Thanks for the info, do you have the registration of the aircraft? Final question, would I have seen it parked outside your hanger this morning?
Thanks,
Ems

Emirates,

yes, it was in front of the hangar this morning. Saw it as well but couldn't read the reg unfortunately.
I believe the last digit was a "7".
As a matter of fact, the bird just took off some 5 minutes ago.

Cheers,
OO-JFP

Is BAF C130 CH-14 doing testflights/trainingflight also today? Saw and heard him passing by several times, between, Aalter - Ruiselede - EBUL.

The registration: LX-N 19997 (ex lufthansa) he left at arround 1PM for a 4 hours during test flight towards Geilenkirchen AFB. yes it was parked all morning outside of hanger 8 for fueling and preflight check.

yes i saw the aircraft arriving arround 15.15. But they stopped on the taxiway, the door went open, en someone jumped out to check the nose landing gear. 3 minutes later, he reentered the aircraft, door was closed , and they continued taxiing to the apron.

greetzzz

Just for the record: first test flight Dec 19 2008. Later this frame took the air on Dec 29 2008, Jan 20,26 & 28 2009.

The people from SNT military have converted the old scrap C130 (ex evergreen) to an almost brand new C130 they changed practically everything. But because the test flights are always preformd by an other crew there are always new (little) problems found. They don't care the costs, it would be cheaper to buy an new plane than what happend to the CH14.

Yes unbelievable they could make this ex museum frame again airworthly. It says enough about the skill of these guys, really good job! Btw welcome "sabenatechnics" and tx for sharing your pics & info. I see the problem with attaching pics has been solved ;).
