SN are currently advertising TLV at the dirt cheap price of 105€ one-way all included. I guess this is related to a much softened demand following the latest outbreak of violence on the Eastern shore of the Mediterranean.
Wouldn't it be the right time for SN to cut frequency a little on TLV (since anyway they do codeshare with LY on the route) and open up other destinations in the region e.g. BEY which can sustain a better yield than that out of BRU, even during slow months (e.g. 2-weekly mid-week and week-end)?
SN dirt cheap to TLV, time to open up BEY?

Not only the Gaza war, but israel has been hit severly by the economic downturn.. Business travel
to and from TLV is reduced dratically. I know as our israeli clients (hundreds) stopped travelling since october. They all flew in monday and tuesday mornings.. and flew back thursday eve. Many flew business. I can assume SN end LY feel their absence. As for BEY it is mostly connecting pax, maybe to Africa.. Evening flights like those of Sabena (dep. 22:00 BRU -BEY) are no good, as pax arriving from africa had to wait 15 hours in Bru for their connecting flight to BEY. Maybe a code share with MEA that is in full expansion at the moment?

Quite often when I work on the A330 there are always a few pax asking when SN will consider flying to BEY...(Africa--BEY via BRU)
However those pax also know the competition (Etihad, Emirates, RAM and Afriqiya) with very smooth connections, so I've been told.
And AF goes there with B773 and A332 every day.

I think a Beauty service at week-ends, even if it's only around school holidays, would be profitable for sure!
