OST 18/12 N707JT

Post by MiguelBaert »

Yes, you read it correctly. Today at OST we had a most unexpected visitor: a very nice Boeing 707 owned by mr. John Travolta himself . Unfortunately mr. Travolta wasn't on board of his own private jet. The reason for this visit to OST was a diversion from Le Bourget. The 707 was due to pick up mr. Travolta from Paris. It arrived at 13:14LT and left at 17:18LT.

Offcourse I had to take a closer look at this marvellous airplane, the crew were very nice guys so we actually got an entire tour of the airplane and I do have to say: veeery nice, but no pictures of the interior since we weren't allowed to take any pictures inside.

Mind you, I'm not really a spotter, so these are pretty crappy pictures, anyway: enjoy.

Hello

Hey, I know the place. That must be taken from either the VLOC or the OAC-Tower right?

Friends of me who had lessons that day saw them from there and notified me. As I heard the news I 'scrambled' out on my bike.
The only I could get was very crappy shots from far away in the horrible weather. Anyway, I enjoyed seeing it. I only regret I didn't see it land from the VLOC I would have been able to take great pictures over there.

Too bad it left in the dark.
Here some crappy pictures. (Don't worry, I am a spotter and I took crap pictures too that day  ).

This was the closest I could get and so also the best picture. Not really good but anyway...

Some other good old planes (unfortunatly rotting away).

Sorry for using different picture sizes but I resized them in different measurements to make the best out of it.

Best regards, Yannick ;)

No need to apologise, Yannick, I enjoyed your pics a good deal! Could only regret I wasn't there, a B707! When I first began to look up at the passing planes, the B707 was the flagship of our flag carrier... Even so, I find the DH Dove even more exciting yet, anybody for more info on this bird?
