I'ts that these winglets reduce fuleburn and improve lift. Otherwise it just where wings that are been bend and that wouldn't make me that confident to sit in the plane

It appears that the top of the trailing edge of the winglet is tapered to the rear - interesting.

Strange, the wingletted A320 looks like an E190 to me...

I thought they where already investigating this for 2 years now. But I must say, I think I've seen pictures earlier but on those pictures the winglets look a bit different from these ones. Maybe these are a newer version.
I must say it has become a common sight on 737's but I still find it a bit 'odd' looking on the A32S but I guess it's again just a matter of getting used to it.
I hope to see them flying soon around the world.
